heated front Screen - Connectors

I have just managed to get the drivers side of the Front Screen heater working again on my wife's Mondeo.
The problems was the connector at the bottom of the screen of the drivers side. It was very difficult to undo to start with. Then the contacts inside showed signs of getting hot and were corroded.

I gave then a good clean and the screen is now working again. Trouble is I suspect the fault will re-occur.
has anyone bought one of these connector?

Probably the corrosion causing the heat.....i would put a light coating of vaseline on the connection, should stop the corrosion build up.
Thanks for the reply.
I put electrical contact grease on the pins.
The problem is the heat has distorted the connector housing so the ocntact is not as good as it should be. the female socket on the bad side was several millimetres further into the housing so its lost some of the contact area.

Checked the fuses? Swap the fuses over.

Passenger side is easy to get at, remove the shuttle panel as if you are replacing the pollen filter. The connectors are near the bottom corner of the screen.
Drivers side - bit more difficult, you need to remove the wiper arms before removing the drivers side shuttle panel. You may need a wiper arm puller!
Then again the connectors near the bottom corner of the screen.

A forget it - it´s probaly also corrosion i´ll try some wd40
The windscreen is still working OK, fingers crossed it will last.
As well as the corrosion the connector had got hot and started to melt the housing.
The female pin is now about 3mm further down the housing than it should be so its not engaged as well as it should.
If it fails again I will need to replace the connector.
