Got a problem at the moment where the climate control is only blowing cold air. It started out being intermittent but now it's almost constant no matter what settings are set.
I have run a test on the unit (foot air/off then auto) but no fault was found.
Also the car temperature gauge sits bang in the middle so it's not that the car is not warming up.
Not sure what to check next but hope it's a easy fix as it's freezing!
I'll check the coolant levels once it's cooled down.
I got the other half to drive it harder then she normally does (up hill on motor way in 4th gear till 4k rpm) and it got the heater to warm up temporary but then it went cold again.
I checked the coolant and it was empty!! Not sure why as it never used to use any. Could it have been garage drained it when replacing starter motor and forgot to refill? Took about 2.5L to get to the max line.
Will keep an eye on it over next week or so and see if it moves
thermostat housing can also leak and hard to spot as its dark under there and coolant tends to evaporate before reaching the floor.
