hi lads !

picked up my mondy ghia x up today - fantastic !!

however when i phoned up for insurance they said it must be fitted with at least a cat2 immobiliser.
i explained that all mondeos come with alarms and immobilisers as standard and was sure they were at least cat2.

can anyone clarify this ???

Is your 97 a Mk2 or Mk1? Either way IIRC they have a Cat 2 immobiliser. Mine deffo is - 97 Mk2. They should know that already!

S'easy. Speak to the Wigster and he'll suggest a Toad C4T Cat 2-1 alarm and loads of extras to keep the car safe, and fit them all sh*t loads less than, say, Sextons. See my footer.

The only real problem might be the distance to get it fitted - fancy a weekend "darn Sarf"! Seriously, Wig saved my mate enough on a full 0-C1 setup to cover your petrol and a cheap b&b with change for some beers!
