Found a small rectangle shaped un-used wiring plug clipped by the pollen filter housing. There were 2 wires, 1 OR/BL and 1 BK. [Confused] Also found 2 large black plugs in the passenger footwell, above the kick-trim, near the fusebox. About 1" in diameter. 1 of these in connected and out the way, the other is un-used with nothing plugged in. Any ideas which bits these are for? [shrug] My Mondy's only a LX, so only got eletric front windows and fog lights at the moment. Cheers... [Wink] [beer]

I reckon you have just found your front electric windscreen heater element loom?
Do you have a heated front screen?
If not,that's where it plugs

the connector to the left of the pollen filter (as viewed from the front of the car) is for the alarm 'beep' sounder (as heard when double locking early mondeo's).

cant think why a beeper wasnt fitted. and i cant say for certain if you'll get the beeps if you fit one.
if there are three things i hate, its old drivers, taxi drivers, and drunk drivers - and i get rammed by all three in one go!

ISTR a lot of manufacturers did away with alarm beeps at this time - it was a noise pollution/abatement thing.
