Seems a good mod but want to see what the majority say the benefits are. Oh and where is the best one available from, preferably with a take off for a boost gauge hose.

Hi Jason,

I found that it made a huge improvement in preventing my car from stalling on take-off. The slight down side is that you will get more Diesel knock especially when running on a light throttle. If you intend to blank it permanently then get a small piece of 2mm thick stainless steel off eBay and make your own. I don't think that the ready made ones come in stainless steel. The aluminium ones burn through and might send unwanted bits into the engine.

to put it in a nutshell you should get a bit more power and less smoke. theres not much else we can say about the benefits
51 plate ghia x tddi with extra oomph

Boost Pressure = ((MAP x 10) - BARO)/6.895 (use with F-Super readings)

Probably worth mentioning (for anybody reading this in future) that on a euro 4 engine you'll get an error code if you blank off the EGR.

not really any downsides

euro 4 comes in from 2004 to 2007 but you can have a euro 3 upto a 55 plate

easiest way to tell is look at the egr. electrical connection on it euro 4
