Pipe diameter might be different on the Petrol engines. Can't tell for sure but if it is from the centre section all you will need is a pipe reducer or expanded section. Can get these on eBay. Couple of clamps and some paste and it should go on. Just done something like this for a mate to team up a 2.2 back section to a 1.9 centre section on a vauxhall signum. Pipe size is 2mm different.
Measure the pipework under your car to check first. Or fords finis code for the rear twins from the 2.2 and see if it's the same as the 2.5t petrol. If it s it should fit.

I have a 2.0tdci titanium at the moment and i fancy changing the single exit standard exhaust to the dual exit you get on the likes of the 2.2 titanium x etc, so is this just as sinple as fitting the dual back boxes and good to go? will the mounts etc all line up

all the mounts line up even the hanger is fitted to the car for the drivers side box

only problem you will have is the exhaust unless its been changed since new will not come off the car unless you either drop the rear subframe or cut the exhaust and buy a joiner.. the OSD of the exhaust is 2 1/4 inch so get a 2 1/2 inch joiner of ebay for £12 ish

i have just fitted one to my 2.0 tdci

i put some pics of car up soon...
