In the last few weeks gradually my cruise control has started to go mental, it works perfectly sometimes and then others if I reduce speed via the button it cuts out and won't activate again until, it also cuts out if I indicate left and press intermittent wiper stalk down?! Anybody experience any of these issues? I have tried cleaning the buttons already with wd40 contact cleaner, there are also Dtc codes logging saying left and right steering wheel buttons, thanks all, David.

haven't experienced the cruise cutting out using the indicator/wiper stalk but do experience cutting out when using it to reduce/gain speed and again does what yours does being temperamental working when it feels like it i have cleaned them up but with no joy I think there's a thread on here about this I think the only way to resolve this is to replace them unsure of cost as haven't looked into it but def seems to be a common problem

ive disconnected battery all works fine for few days then just plays up

when I get some time im going to give ford a ring to get price on buttons and see where to go from there(if there expensive ill live with it playing up) im sure someone on here might give some advice

I did quite a while back speak to someone at ford about this was told to clean them up as seems a common problem which I have cleaned so is leading me to think this route first ill keep this updated if I ever get around in doing it and what the outcome is

well I've just phoned ford about price for these buttons wait for it...............ÂŁ101.06 ..........................EACH SIDE unreal price when I was told I thought that was for both of them

I think I will live with it unless I can find some on eBay but then you never know if they had the same problem so could be wasting your money

Loads about on ebay.

Message the seller with your concerns and ask if they will accept a refund if the buttons don't work. Even offering to pay return shipping and getting a couple of faulty ones first would be better than 200 quid.

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/291121515005 from a TitX, others may be able to say if you need ones for your trim level. Not sure if adaptive cruise etc alters the button layout. Ideally some from the same trim level as yours would be good. I bet there's whole wheels with air bag for less than 200 on there. :)
Ford are morons. It's like they don't want to make a sale. If their parts prices were at least semi competitive they could make a business of it. I guess that's why my local dealer is also a unipart agent and only too happy to source OEM quality repro parts.

My 59 plate Titanium X started doing exactly the same "set-" or left indication would turn system off. As it was a company car it went back to the lease company with the fault. My my Tit X sport is doing something similar. I was told the switch's were sealed units and so could not be cleaned. Has any one stripped them down to find out?

So...did it work?

So far... Yes. It's been working perfectly. I'm going to give it another week or two before I say for sure however. Last time they had the clock spring out just to replace the switches it worked perfectly fine for a few weeks then got worse than it was originally.
