Hello all. Been looking for ages and I have finally found a aftermarket that is a direct fitment. It's a pipercross filter and its a Px 1893 if anyone is interested. This is for the 2.2 tdci . I will order one of these when cash is better as Christmas is coming up too quickly for my liking. But keep an eye out on this thread as I will buy one and review it.

I washed it and oiled it with my k&n kit and when I say oiled it only very light as I don't want to destroy the maf. Fitting was a bit of a faff the filter doesn't quite fit as it has a slightly bigger opening. So I just placed it into the box and fitted the kid and all lined up.

Noise wise it's slightly better but I haven't had it under load so we will see about that tomorrow.

Interesting. How has the past few weeks with the new filter been?

So far so good. Slight induction noise but because it's not open you don't notice it unless you really listen.

Mpg is going up bit it's hard to say right now though. When I fitted it the car the car was reading a steady 41. Now I'm reading 43.5 doing same journey without resetting mpg or anything. Average speed is 27mph. If it was an open end filter it would sound nice. :)
