Hi,

Apologies, I have given up trying to search for this answer as the forum flood control is making it very slow!

Just viewed a 53 reg Ford Fusion, 1.6 petrol with 50k. Can anyone tell me when the cambelt is due, couldn't find it in the service book or online.

Also, the coolant was very (too) low, though no warning lights on dash. Is this engine prone to airlocks/localised overheating from low coolant, or would the warning lights normally come on in good time?

No, South East. We bought it, and its black. But it has just returned from a drive, and due to a 'communication error' whilst giving instructions over the phone, it was driven for 20 minutes with the temperature light flashing, gauge showing normal (though irrelevant if the water pump has failed or low coolant) and when it parked up the engine was very lumpy/missfiring. Bugger...

Will be taking a look at it on Friday.
