I recently bought a 205 block engine.
I am rebuilding the engine.
I also bought a car without an engine.
The new car is turning up on saturday 9-10-2010.
I am in the process of rebulding the engine with new shels ect.
Then when i have the car will out the engine in and will have a recently resprayed car with a good reconditioned engine.

How many engines have you got on the go? I thought you were building an ST220 engine?

Well i striped the cossie engine last night.
Got to say its in good nick.
It was a shame to split it as it obviosly had been done recently.
I had to do it to check for wear n tear.
The crank casing has had a fooking good clean with gunk.
There is no contamination there now.
The only prob was the oil it was black and smelly.
These people should change the oil regular.
Going to garage to get pics now.

Here you go, a show.
I am going to mint the car.
The underside is all welded up and under sealed.
It has a fresh respray n i am finishing it of as soon as i can.
There are a few fab items that need a tidy up.
The engine is going for rebuild soon and i will pop here in.
The plumbing and pipes will be the challenge

Bought a diff n had a look at fitting it.
There are beefed up drive shafts on it that have larger dia bolts to hold them on.
So have 2 sets of drive shafts.
I will take the shafts of and put the standard ones on for now.
As soon as the car becomes mobile i can use the local garage to help upgrade as well.
To have the car running is the first aim.
I need to find the shaft bolt size so i can order a socket to replace the shafts.
They are larger than 32mm,wich i think is the mondeo bolt size.
i have a vernier so will buy a socket next weekend

Well home for christmas.
I sourced a diff.
Its good.
My mechanic genius a Suburu apprentice.
He built the head up.
The engine i bought still needs a good cosworth crank sourcing.
The low compression pistons i had machined ready for a big turbo.
I am plodding on with the Mondeo 3.0 but as said many times who will work on them.
The Cossi sprouted straight away with everyoene interested.
The Mondeo can't be much harder to work on out of the car.
Well heres a few pics.

Well i have most of the parts now.
I bought some CP pistons.
Certainly easier to buy for than a V6 mondi..
They are Forged with cam cut outs.
I have a BD12 cam
CP pistons
4X4 Head
205 Block Cossi
Cosworth crank and rods
Uprated ECU ,collins chip.
The diff, gearbox and exhaust is going in soon.
The engine is going for rebore.
Then going in.
The fun will then start.
Its all the little bits that need to go on ,vacumme pipes ect.
Hopefully now i have all the items its just a case of moving things round the engineers and having the mechanic put them in .
I will do alot of work myself.
Like the other day i washed all the door cards and had them on the radiater.
This morning i am going to put them in the car and put the mirrors on.
It all helps.
How are all the other Cossi projects doing.

Its a local garage Stan Marks in Preston.
Blackburns is doing the machining ,they are well respected in the Cossi scene round these parts.
They have a Suburu mechanic there ,who likes Cosworths as well.
He is really keen so between him and his boss are going to bolt her back together.
Its the V6 ST220 one i can't find any wiling volunteers to rebuild.
If any one knows any one who would build my ST220 engine well.
Its sat in my garage in four plastic crates waiting.

:banana:Well ,i ended up sourcing some CP pistons.
I received the rings and spec sheet tonight.
I will have the bore done now.
I have the crank that will go to the machine shop to see if it needs any help.
The head is virtually built.
It took abit of messing about sourcing the correct spacers and cams ect.
The turbo was checked and is ok.
The gearbox was checked and the 3rd gear synch were renued.
Well the diff is in and the exhaust is on withy the gearbox in place.
Things to do.
Chase items out of machine shop and put into the mechanic.
Rebuild engine and put in the car.
Plumb the engine up.
Have it checked over by mechanics friend and run in.
There is a place i have in mind to give it a good checking over and road tune.
The good thing is the car has MOT so this helps.
