Guys

I've seen loads of cars with smaller number plates, is there anyone on here who has them?

Are they legal? if so then i quite fancy a set as i have a personalised plate but i dont know what size i need to order.

The letters are the legal size but the plate itself is only the size to show the letters/numbers

The rules say there must be a minimum of 11mm top and bottom margins, with 79mm character height.  That makes the plate a minimum of  101mm high.
Similarly you can work out the minimum width of a plate.

plate has to be std height+ colour
letters/numbers have to be correct too
other than that length is optional as long as it contains the required digits
but to be honest the plate just looks silly anyway if its short (my two penneth)
Why mess with it and waste the police mans time?
he has criminals to catch and while he's messing with your silly number plate someone could be in trouble
lets just stick with the rules guys!!
anyone who's ego's can't handle this?

Out of interest, did the plate come with a retailer name and post code printed on it?

Did they not ask for proof of ownership? I thought this was a must, If not I shall order some with another number on so I can run lights, speed cameras, not pay for petrol etc...
