Hi just purchased a ford scorpio 1993 that hasnt been used for a while and after a couple of days bonnet switch stopped working and cant open bonnet, have removed grill and havent got any further in opening bonnet has anyone any suggestions thanks

Can you see the cable? Is it still attached to the latch or has it snapped?

spray wd.
Then folow the cable n do it manual.
Then take a little brush n clean n spray with wd.
Clean n lube.

now you have removed the grill there is a plate covering where the cable goes through you need to lie under the frunt of the car with a long nose pair of plyers and you will be able to grab the cable ,,but if the cable is broke get a screw driver and where the plate is there is a few holes and u need to get the screw driver in one of them and push the bonnet bracket over to release it.
