purchased set of keys on ebay, just wondering if they need to be inserted in the correct way, looks like they may only unlock the radio for removal if inserted the right way round

Hi katrina, are you talking about the 4 flat keys for the facelift 6000cd (the one with the power button in the middle)? They do have to be inserted a particular way round to dislodge the locking pins....

If they're like this they need to be inserted with the flat edge of the handle facing outwards (towards the doors) and the curved edge of the blade pointing inwards. Just push it in and you'll hear a little click. When you've all four clicked in, just pull the keys outwards and the stereo should slide out pretty easy.

When you have it out, push the locking tabs inwards to allow you to remove the keys easily, as just pulling at them will damage the tabs. Good luck!
