hope somebody can help to try and narrow down my problem.
My wife has a Fusion 2, 2003 1.6.
When driving the dasboard is clicking, sounds like relays, battery warning light comes on, front air bag light comes on and then speedo, rev counter, petrol gauge etc switch off.
After a few more clicks everything comes back on.

I found that the water level in battery had got low, topped up with ionised water, no change.
When put meter on battery when the clicking heard voltage level jumps betwwen 15-16.5V !!

I have changed the battery in case damaged, no change.
Has anyone suffered this before?
Do I have an alternator, dashboard pod or some other problem or is all of it a problem!

thanks for your help
Carl

That voltage is way too high. Not familiar with the Fusion electrical system, but sounds like a failed regulator pack which may be part of the alternator or separate. Get it fixed ASAP as overvoltage can break all sorts of things - lights, radio, ECU...
