Hi guys, I am set on building a 1932 Ford Roadster High Boy kit car. I have bought a 1982/3 Granada 3L-V6 donor car, as the engine and outo-g/box was excactly what I had wanted. Unfortunately, the car came with independant rear suspension, while I was planning on fitting the rigid type, as used in the Cortina series. To check the Granada's diff ratio, I found that 1 rotation of the wheel, amounts to 1.75 rotations of the propshaft, thus 1.75:1? have I done this correctly, and can this method be trusted? What would be the most desireble/correct ratio, coupled to my outo-box, that would give me a nice, comfortable, sunday afternoon cruiser? I am not planning to win any races! Other internet specs. on this type of vehicle suggests that it has a 3.5:1 ratio? Any advise to a rookie?
