I got my mk3 at 25 and recently replaced it with a mk4 at 28.
People occasionaly take the michael, but only because of the blue badge. My current car is every bit as good as a german luxary car, in terms of build quality, aesthetics and comfort.
The only difference is I only payed £6k for it.
I think most people who criticise the Mondeo have never tried it...

I'm 31 and on my fourth Mondeo,
Had a Mk 2 1.8 petrol Zetec, then 2 Mk 3's. One a 2.0 Tddi Ghia then a 2.2 Tdci Titanium, then changed to Kuga but the call of the mondeo was too strong so now got a mk 4 Mondeo!
Some of my friends who had small cars at the time I got the first Mondeo used to say it was an old mans car, but like previous posts it became a popular choice when a road trip was planned!
Mum and dad used to say I don't need a big car but it was handy for trips to Ikea for them! so they now just accept I like a big car!

You can thank all us 40 plus old family guys for the low insurance as we generally dont crash our mondeos very often. All the sales reps have bmws so anotger reason why mondys have now appeared a safer risk stasistically

Whats that got to do with how many young mondeo drivers there are? If most are like me they buy a Mondeo for the fact they like it not the insurance costs.

Because an earlier post queried insurance costs and how they were so cheap on the mk3.
And if you dont consider insurance costs on a potential car purchase then you obviuosly dont have any concerns about money!
But strangely, my mondy is only £ 5 a year cheaper to insure than the volvo c70 T5 i had before.

It would help if you quoted the question you are answering, so it doesn't look like a random statement.
I don't have concerns about money, although I don't think I need to explain my financial situation to a stranger.
I get the car I want and pay what insurance I need to. Its a Mondeo not a Porsche!
I do like the volvo C70, what made you go to the Mondeo rather than S40 or S60??
