Does anyone have any experience of Evergreen tyres?
I've never heard of them, but am buying a 2.0 TDCI Mondeo from Ford Direct.
I've put down a deposit and it was delivered to my local dealers for me to collect.
The front tyres are Evergreen tyres and I asked the dealer about them. He told me that the car was fitted to Ford's original standards and these tyres comply with those specifications and are just as good as Bridgestone etc.
Any help or advice would be really appreciated. i can't understand why Ford Direct would replace tyres with cheap ones and my dealer reassure me, but I'm still a bit wary.
The Mondeo is a titanium X and is less than a year old.

You may have more success if you put this on the MK4 Forum, but i can't recollect anyone mentioning this brand of tyre before.
It is a Chinese manufacturer and personally i wouldn't touch them. There are no reviews available for them which doesn't bode well.
I think your dealer is trying to pull a fast one here and fob you off. I suppose (not knowing the mileage) you have to ask yourself why did they need changing on a car less than 12 months old.
The easiest way to resolve this is to ring Ford Cust Serv and ask them about the tyres. ("fitted to Fords original standards", could quite easily mean fitted and balanced. It means bugger all really).
Tell the dealer to put the same tyres on as are on the back and see what their response is to this.
If they've scrimped on this what else have they done, that won't show up until later.
They are a very new manufacturer - only established in 2009, so not too surprising there is a lack of reviews.
But they also don't seem to be sold by all that many places, and looking on one site which does (http://www.bushtyres.co.uk/tyres/search/?section_width=215&aspect_ratio=55&rim_diameter=16&speed_rating=all&find_tyres.x=60&find_tyres.y=12#tyre_search_results) they are the third cheapest tyre available for my size.
Being new means they supposedly have state of the art facilities, but I still wouldn't risk them until there are a good few reviews around.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
