I have just joined having bought a Mondeo ST TDCI Estate and that bought back some memories of old Fords I've owned.

One favourite in particular was D565SRO, my Rosso Red 5 Door hatchback Ford Sierra Ghia in the rare 1.8 manual form. Bought second hand and 6 years old.

Loved this car and never saw another until leaving London one day arriving at Loch something or other to start a boating holiday. Parked up next to the only other car in the car park to discover it too was a 1.8 Ghia, a year older and the previous shape (pre facelift).

I know these were rare cars and I wonder if anyone else had one? They were great car, well specified and cheaper to insure for a 20 year old than a 2.0i. Identical to look at as well.

The only bug bear was the electric ariel. It got caught under the top of the boot lid in heavy wind and rain, and in my rushed state got snapped!
That was my first encounter with Fraud Spare Parts!
