When I put my handbrake on the warning light doesn't come on the dash, but I know the bulb is ok because it come on with all my other lights when I turn on the ignition. Does anyone have an idea how to get it working? Thanks :)

if you operate the handbrake does it come on occasionally? might be worth spraying the handbrake switch with wd40.

No it never comes on, only time is when I start the car up, then it goes off with the other lights even though the handbrake is on. I took the coin holder off and sprayed wd40 at the handbrake underneath already but it did nothing. It's doing my head in a bit now, would it fail an mot if that's not working?

centre console out job, unless your hand and tools fit through the coin holder... If you're handy with a screwdriver, you should be fine doing this.

Hi thanks guys, I did it, I sprayed the switch but it still wasn't coming back up on release, I had to push it sideways a tiny bit to bend it, it's fine now :)
