Hey
I have a question about Ford C-max (2011 Titanium). It has side mirrors which are automatically folded/unfolded by using the remote control. It means that always when I lock the door the mirrors are folded and when I unlock they are unfolded again. It's fine when the temperature outside is above zero. My question is what happens to this automatic folding system when the temperature decreases and ice appears? Or it does not matter what the outside temperature is? I wanted to change the settings so that the folding function would not work automatically but I can un/fold the mirrors manually if needed in order to avoid folding when it's freezing outside.
The dealer who sold the car said that it is impossible to change it in remote control and they can nothing to do about it. My concern is that when it is getting really cold is there any possibility that the automatic folding system just brakes due to the ice?
I hope to get feedback from you or any adequate reference.

Thank you

I'd be very surprised if it broke. Cars undergo winter weather when being designed.
