Hi all,

I have a 2002 tdci 130 done 130k, the coil light has started flashing, and runs a bit rough in the mornings, no smoke though, also sometimes car goes into limp mode on hard acceleration in forth and fifth gear.

codes read today P1664, fuel filter was changed 6 months back with a bosch one, and done about 5k since.

Also when I had it on the f-super I looked at the injector codes, and it showed the follwing:
injector 1  000000400004300
injector 3  90f6555580009288
injector 4  0000040000000000
injector 2  0000555520088080

Do the numbers on injectors 1 and 4 seem normal, they are basicly all 00000000's.  I can't see no codes on the injector bodies to compare them either?

Any idea's?

hi asti the codes on 2 and 4don not seem in any way normal but it could be down to tow reasons ..asfik fsuper has difficulty reading codes on tdci older than o4 . and another reason may be that the injectors on those cylinders may have been changed for more modern injectos . it is sometimes practice in injector  s to have two injectors go at the same time and coincidentally it is usuall those two which can give trouble ...so what may have happened is that before you got the motor or even you may have had two injectors replaced and now the other two injectors are needing being done ... so to check this it is necessary to do a leak off test on the injectors .. wouldent be a bad idea to do this and clear this as a cause of you trouble .. i would usually reccomend that the four injectors are done at the same time but money can often be the deciding factor in this essential maintenance job..s

F-super won't read codes on pre 04 TDCI'S that's why you don't get complete codes.

You would be best to get a leakoff test done I think.

Have a quick search through this forum there have been a few threads giving explanations on how to do leakoff tests. It isn't difficult and just needs some basic equipment to do
