Been back to the garage 3 times lol. 210k Miles, MOT April 2013, No TAX, Paint work is in need of proper hard graft cleaning up as it is marked with dark finger prints all over that I tried to remove while I was there but no joy however there is no rust and not 1 scratch on the car anywhere. On first start up after it hadn't been started for a month there was little bit of blue smoke and black smoke, I took it for a good 4 miles easily on the test run and found that no matter how hard I punched the accelerator in any gear the car just wanted to keep going and going and going. However the CV Joints on the front need doing and there is a rattle on the engine. But feel happy with the price I paid and YES I WILL BE MODIFYING IT. But I am gonna badly miss my Galaxy although my other half may decide to let me keep both lol. But Galaxy will be up for sale in 2 weeks time for £1450 ono. I will be sorting a few little problems with it before it goes!

Here is my new toy!

The Galaxy is now up for sale, although I don't really want to sell it lol. But I had a few other things to factor in to the process, the money I had spent and money running them. Although my galaxy gets 28mpg around town, I need a car that can do more, and something with working cruise control. The Mondeo has cruise on the steering wheel but I forgot to check if it works lol. I think the Mondeo has been a Taxi in the past. I already have a long list of upgrades in my head for this car. Just hope I wont regret buying it anytime soon!

I think I got miscontrude I meant another person on here with a Galaxy to be my friend, haha.
If you want to trade a set of black eyes for a Galaxy for a set for the Mondeo then ive got some in my shed. Also does your towbar have twin electrics? :)

Technically my Galaxy does have twin electrics but via a EURO 13 pin socket. But I never got round to wiring up the caravan side of electrics. The set of Galaxy lights I have are in good condition apart from 1 screw mount is missing on the top of the light where there are 2 that are part of 4 that bolt the lights to the Galaxy. I can do the black eye conversion on them if you want and do a swap. Let me know.

My Paypal account is really WINDING me up. My other half transferred £700 via credit to my Paypal account so that I could withdraw the money and go and pay for the Mondeo! BUT Paypal decided to take there fee of £24 and PUT A 24HR HOLD on the rest of the money. I have a Paypal Prepay Mastercard linked to my Paypal account so can withdraw the money once it has cleared but the 24hr Review Period started at 12.28PM yesterday and I am now sat in front of my computer waiting to see if they un freeze the money or refund it to the credit card. If they refund it I will have to withdraw the money from the card.

I went down to the garage where the car was today, and totally panicked! Thought I had been had lol. Then found out I drove past the car nearer to my house without seeing it lol. They moved the car to a garage nearer to me so that I literally have to drive less than 500 yards to my house lol. Panic over. And possibly bought another car if my brother in law can get insurance for it. But am collecting the car tomorrow morning at about 9.30am. YAY

The Galaxy still remains my little project until sold, but now only doing things that could do with being done if I already have the bits, and general tidying up. Hopefully Sunday will be dry as I am doing a deep clean and polish on the Galaxy making sure it SPARKLES. And then in 7 days time if the guy who wants it still hasn't sold his Merc then I will be also sticking for sale signs in the windows. As whoever gets this Galaxy is skipping the AGRO of most of the common faults and the big expenses. Just hope it goes to someone who is going to love and cherish it.
