funnily enough, i was disappointed too... Was hoping he was trapped and the fire brigade had to chop him out... Would have been nice to see a few flames coming from the front too... :(

nevermind, i bet he felt like a tool.

Come to Bradford, everything you have said on here and plenty more goes on in the space of a few miles of the town centre. I  guess its something to do with most of them not being insured and the rest not giving a :BEEP: about anyone but themselves.

Trust me, this problem is not exclusive to Bradford !  :)

It doesn't matter where you go, this problem is prevelant everywhere !  Even in the quietest villages and the busiest towns.

I was on the M62 going to work the other morning at about 0930.  At Junction 12, the 2 right most lanes go off and become the M602.  The left lane turns into the slip road for the M60.  The M60 slip quickly turns into 2 lanes giving 4 lanes of traffic in total for about a half a mile.

The M60 is signed 4 MILES back.  Giving a total of 4.5 miles to get in the correct lane !

So why oh why is it that every morning, you ALWAYS get 50% of the drivers switching lanes like theres no tomorrow.  Often at the VERY last second and dangerously.

Yesterdays muppet was a porsche in lane 3.  I was in lane 2 as I wanted the M60 and was overtaking some lorries in lane 1.  The porsche was a few hundred yards in front of me and starts to drift over and straddles lanes 2 and 3 for quite some time with no indications.  As I get nearer he makes an effort to get back in lane 3 so I carry on at the speed I am doing.  It's not until I'm about half a cars length away that he decides he wants lane 2 and carves me up good and proper !!

Now, I'm usualy calm and would just give a quick flash of the lights to let the driver know I was a little pissed off with them.  But this bloke being a complete sh1t stain, I gave a long flash and a blast on the horn.  Well he went ballistic at me LOL !!   I could see him screaming and shouting at me and making threatening gestures !!

Oh how I laughed in his face !   I think this made things worse, but what a pratt !!!

In his eyes !   I was the sh1t stain !   and theres nothing that could have been said that would convince him otherwise...  This is what makes me wonder why I bother making my feelings known to these idiots !   It has no effect whatsoever.

    RANT OVER !!

I know Rik its terrible the way things have become across the country.
Although saying that, My parents live in a town outside bradford and from their house they can access, bradford, leeds, huddersfield, halifax within 5 mins and say theres idiots everywhere but when they go into bradford it is a completely different world to drive in compared to the other towns.

The good thing about me living there is wherever i go its out of the city

Its always the ones in the fancy cars that think they own the road, i bet he still owes loads in finance on the damn thing too. I bet he wouldnt be so brave if you followed him and got out of the car where ever he parked up and confronted him.

This will make you chuckle. I was almost cut up by a young lass with her boyfriend in the passenger seat one day coming off a round about. they were alongside shouting the odds how i was in the wrong lane and they were right and blasting their horn. Due to the set up of the road they had to give in eventually and get behind me. still shouting. I just stopped my car right in front of them, admittedly im 6,2 in the the case that day, 6,4 with my boots on so i got out and walked up to the car and then bollocked them, told them to shut up and look at the damn signs and they would see i was in the right lane not them, she went quiet with a stupid sulking face, the boyfriend slid down in the seat trying to hide. They werent so brave then.

    Thats good Steve !!

The one time I did do that, I followed this bloke who was driving a Citroen Picassa.  He'd been in my drivers side wing mirror for ages on a dual carriageway without pulling in behind me despite us both doing 30mph.

We eventually came to cars that were parked up on the left so I indicated and moved over into the 2nd lane.  It's not my fault the bloke was then a couple of feet off my rear bumper.  If he'd followed the highway code etc, he'd have been behind me all along and no one would have had any problem..

Anyway, he was on the horn etc etc, so When I saw him indicate left to go into what looked like a trading estate I made sure I also went in.

Turns out the "trading estate" was a police lock up/impound/station of some sort..  Anyway, the bloke was a copper, but I stood my ground and confronted him.  He claimed he knew all about the road laws and that he'd been driving in the police for 20+ years blah blah yap yap..  and HE was in the right as there were cars parked up in MY lane I should give way to cars in the right lane..   It didn't matter that he'd been in it for miles for no apparent reason !

I was out test driving the other day after I done my EGR valve.  Out of nowhere, a blue transit came tear-arsing up behind me, right onto my back bumper.  I had two cars in front, but all of a sudden the van swerved out from behind me and tried to take all three of us... except he was approaching a bend and another van came towards him.  I braked hard and sounded the horn as he cut me up - missed my front-end by literally inches.  As the road straightened out he seemed to have frightened himself to death and was happy to just sit there, until I decided to pass him (we were all doing a bit less than 50 in a 60 limit).  As I indicated and and pulled out, he swerved into the other lane (bearing in mind this is a single carriageway!) and just sat there so I couldn't get past!

I've been driving for 18 years and don't think I've ever seen such a selfish, dangerous and inconsiderate display of road use.

It's moments like this ^^ that tempts me to get one of those cameras installed in the windscreen which constantly records the last 10 minutes or whatever it is.

Don't they also reduce your insurance premium if you have one of these fitted ?
