I'm not sure this is the right place but please point me in the right direction if not.
I am currently installing a 1800 TD intercooled engine from a 1994 escort into my old VW Bay Window and require some help with the wiring.
I had a complete car and removed what I hope is everything I would need to get it running in my bus.
I have the engine in place

and am now attacking or attaching the loom to it with the aim of getting it running again.

I have attached what I think I needed but all I'm getting is an airbag light and a faint battery light on the orig Escort dash. There is no kicking of the starter when I turn the key all the way but can get it to spin if I short the started using the screwdriver method.
I believe the 1994 escort engine is pre-imob and all that so wondering what I need to look out for. I had a standard Escort 1800 Diesel in the bus before this and the wiring just consisted of the glow plug relay thing and it was up and running.... this engine has TPS and various other plugs on it which I'm not sure what I need to do about.
I'm thinking I maybe lacking an earth or 6 as there seems to be lots of them on the loom but I guess there maybe more to it.
Thanks in advance.
