C-Max 2006 1.6 TDCi Zetec Auto (CVT = Continuously Variable Transmission) – 30000 miles

Okay, first up, based on internet reviews of this transmission type, it would seem that I’m on borrowed time – but I have to say, since buying this car at 9 months old, it’s never missed a beat & I love it – it pulls as well as many 2.0 TDCi’s I’ve driven & there’s not many Diesel Auto’s out here that will give you 45-50 mpg (actual - not dash reading).

So my question is regarding what servicing is required for the CVT?
My Ford dealer says none – it’s a sealed unit – and moreover, they’ve never experienced any problems with them – although this could be read as they’ve never seen one.

Does anyone know for sure what servicing, if any, is required for the CVT Auto box?

(and if you’re thinking of posting a reply saying don’t bother with the service, just sell the car immediately – I’ve thought of that & no, I’m going to hold on to it & take the risk)
