hi,
I have a wierd problem, when i have my foot on the clutch and turn my steering wheel to the left i can feel a clunking in the clutch pedal.
any suggestions what this might be

if you're wanting help, it might be wise to add a little more info to your "vehicle driven" bit on your profile (e.g. '04 tdci)

does this happen when stationary, moving or both?

Im sorry about that,i am new to this - its a ford mondeo1.8 lx,petrol 5 door hatchback 54 plate manual gearbox, the problem happens when statiic (seems to drive ok) but when you have your foot on the clutch and move the steering to the left & back (engine running) you can feel a lot of movement on the clutch pedal,like a clunking.

could be the cv joint wearing, or the tripod on the driveshaft (connecting to the cv joint) breaking down. It'll be the side the clunk comes from.

It's certainly not a geometry issue if that helps.

i agree, sounds more mechanical.
