Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has heard when the Myford touch will be available in the UK and on the focus?

I orginally heard it woudl come out when the focus st does (which i thik is June this year) but since the problems with the myford touch in the US and them now releasing version 2.0 via a USB stick to customers and them updating it, i'm not sure if this means the myford touch will be coming to the Uk this year or if they are goign to putoff untill next year.

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin

I've quite a precise update on this as been hanging on buying a new focus, it's due in quarter 4 (October onwards). It will first be seen in Bmax - due September.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. ah sounds good!

I've been looking at alternative cars just incase becuase I have a buyer alredy lined up for my car, i've already told them wont be selling untill September as thats when i'm hoping to be able to afford the new car and was also hoping it was coming out in early prt of this yer so coudl look at nearly new prices too but that doesn't look to be happening :) I was thiking that if the new myford touch didn't come out in UK on the focus untill next year (2013) then i'd probably go ahead and sell my car in sept. as planned and buy somehting just to keep or 6 monthos or whatever untill te new focus with myford touch was out.

Looks like I'll just have to delay it by a month which im sure wont be a problem :) or if it is,i can alwasy sell mine and do without a car for a month as by then i wont need a car for work any longer.

Many thanks for the info! Can't wait till it finally arrives! I been waiting a year or more now thinking it was comign wiht the 2012 focus .....

No problem, it does give me an issue. I.ve got a Ford ambassador voucher that must be used by mid March. I was hoping My Ford Touch was going to be a bit earlier i.e. summer. I winder what the cost of it will be I reckon a few hundred pounds if the US price is anything to go by.

Hi,

I see. I was expecting to prob pay around 1k for it if having the sat nav built in as well.

I think there is now a new design around the housing of the my ford touch system too so hopefully all comes in October.

I wonder if the focus will have that option where u swing your foot under the rear bumped and the boot opens. I seem in on the new videos for the kuga replacement but not sure I saw on focus but I may of overlooked it.

We're u going for 16, 17 or 18"wheels?

I'm hoping to get a 1.6tdci titanium 5dr with keyless entry. Undecided on wheels and weather to go manual or dsg. My parents got 1.6tdci zetec old shape and the engine bit jerky in low speed for some odd reason but I read it's the same on 115bhp engines. My focus is a 2006 model 90bhp and has no issues like that, it's a 1.6 tdci lx 5dr.

Still got a few months to decide.

Kevin

Hi, the C-Max has the rear hatch opening feature as well. I wonder if it would be possible to fit that system across to the Focus as it would be useful...
