Hi all,
I today, thanks to a lack of grit on major roads had a "minor" accident in my car,
I slipped into a traffic light post (causing no damage to the post itself) and have done the following damage to my car:

Broken front bumper
Front grill
Bonnet
Number plate

My Car is a facelift Mk3 LX model in panther black

I am trying to get prices together to replace the parts as it may be cheaper than paying my excess and losing my no claims

Anyone know where in the Nottingham area I would be able to likely get these parts?

I'm going to try the ford breakers in the morning

BTW this has been reported to the police etc, no one was hurt, no damage was done to the traffic light post etc, I'm just trying to ensure that I get this resolved quickly, my car looks a little worse for wear now :( I already taxed and MOT'd the thing in the last week and now this

could have a look on ebay, if you're lucky you might find a bumper and bonnet in the same colour, same place for grille.

numberplate is a motor factors, fraud or halfrauds job. Iirc, sometimes they ask to see your logbook (v5) before they will do numberplates.

Depending how quick you want them, you could try an online parts site.

Input your car details inc colour and the parts needed and within a hour or so you have qoutes from few yards around the country, inc delivery and you can pay online through the site aswell.

I have a mate that buys cat d write offs and use them to get all the parts delivered in one go and prices are quite cheap, even with bonnets, wings etc and I've bought driveshaft and that was delivered next day so cant fault them!

Just a thought if you get stuck lookign for parts in your colour etc.

Thank you all for suggestions and offers to help, thanks to my brother in law for driving a total of 170 miles to get parts from an eBay seller who was breaking a tdci, I now have a legal and safe car... it took an age to sort, but got there in the end,
Ended up replacing, bonnet, bumper, bumper enforcement bar, inter cooler and grill.
The end had litter ally split off the inter cooler, I only bought that just in case, glad I did now! The new bumper has seen better days, and for some reason the grill is pre facelift, so when it warms up, outside I'll get them sorted properly.
This is a warning to anyone that gets an advisory of front tyres being near legal limit on there MOT.. get them replaced. I'm certain that if I had replaced my tyres after advisory last week I either wouldn't have crashed into the post, or if I did, it would have done less damage
