Well after 46,000 miles and 3 years my trusty sea grey Zetec 140 Tdci is going back to the lease company, having to move to a new focus as my company has when all green and now only offer the 1.6 Tdci engine in any ford, no way am driving the same car but only slower for the next 3 years.

Normally I get kind of excited about a change, but not this time am rather sad, I would be more than happy to hang on to my mondeo for at least another year.

Firstly in my 46000 miles, it's never missed a beat not one thing when wrong, all ways started and stopped, I love the 140 TDCI engine, great power speed and having never reset The fuel mpg it ended at 42mpg over 46k, plus I canned it as much as possible,

Let's see it's achievements

Started first time at -14.5c
Fitted a King Size Mattress in it!
It hit 141mph at 3am on the motorway
It's Had 2 sets of brake pads
3 sets of tyres
It' was never beatin by my mates Focus St 170 of the lights.
It's been hoovered out 154 times washed 156 times
It's a joy to drive in the snow

Just a shame that ever time I attend a meeting at work, it's the laughing stock, as fools with £8000 BMW looked down their noses at it. As they fight trying to fit there travel suit cases in their so called boots.

I'll be sad to see it go ?

Shame my brother had the same problem they wanted to give him a Saab 'something' so told them he didn't want the car and negotiated the difference in money instead and he bought his own!

At least its still a Ford and you can carry on with the forums thou.. a small mercy!
