Hi,

I've replaced Sony radio with Blaupunkt travelpilot FX navi/radio unit on my Mondeo MK4 2009. I didn't go to Ford dealer to do any software changes.
CD, radio, AUX, Bluetooth and voice control is working perfectly. Not sure about navigation because I haven’t buy the SD maps yet.

Problem is that after this replacement the climate temperature control is not working. The heaters are still heating although the temperature is set to the lowest. Even if airco is enabled I don’t feel any cool air coming from the exhausts.
I suspect that the issue is in the software configuration.
a) After such replacement does the firmware have to be upgraded?
B) Could be the problem with heating system related to the this change?

Thanks for any advice.

No mods required to cc, after sat nav retrofit.

I'd pull the battery negative off for a few minutes and try again. Also if not resolved get behind the cc unit and check the connection.

Hi there , I own a Mondeo Titanium MK4 2009, and made myself the same replacement as you did , and also retrofit a USB port.
Everything works fine without any firmware change.
Just check the climata connections again..
