2wd saph cosworth

car ticks over great but splutters under load.it has new sensors ,has anyeone any ideas

Has the phase sensor in the distibutor been changed? these are prone to the wires becoming brittle and cracking causing misfires.
Current Mondeos are:
53 Ink Blue ST220 estate
97 Panther black 2.5 ghia X saloon
And my other toys are:

yes new phase sensor but its good to no its the electrical system some where ,i will get msd to do a bit again as i can drive it saving transport cost as it cost me £50 each way last time

Could even be a break down somewhere in the wiring loom, they aren't getting any younger!
If MSD have set it up once satisfactorily then its unlikely to be a tuning issue, more likely, as you say, a spurious electrical/ sensor fault.

Problem sorted ,i am away and the mechanic is a bit of a no it all.
ECU he said.
It was the plugs they were corroded.
Put 2bar sensor on and a new set of plugs.
The gearbox is going back to the reconditioners though as its noisy.
They are going to take it out n fix it on warrenty.
The car passed its mot today.
Yes the car passed its MOT ,a bulb and track rod ends.
Brilliant.Yes the car passed its mot.

yes they are very sensitive to the correct spec of spark plug being fitted for the boost/ map being run.
