Hi there,

I was looking for Iridium Series of spark plugs from Denso and NGK and it seems they still do not produce one for these engines, the only option I found is from Bosch (Platinum based I guess). I think the Ford plugs are same just with their brand on it! So, are there better spark plugs available in the market and if so from which brands? Thanks.

Going by the sig and other thread a quest for more power I'd imagine.

I didn't really get much of a difference out of expensive plugs when I dabbled in modding.

If it's a quest for more power, I think you'd be looking for a colder grade plug rather than a specific manufacturer. At least that's what people do in the world of MR2 Turbos, helps reduce the risk of detonation (but then again, this is also based on a 20+ year old engine design, which is as far as my turbo knowledge extends!)

True, I'd like to find better spark plugs than the OEM for the sake of managing better and more performance. BTW, when I chip tuned the engine through a friend of mine, using the Bluefin by Superchips, according to the diagnostics computer connected to the car it showed that it is better to get new spark plugs and I have just barely covered 4600 kms!
