Last Thursday I went out on a longish distance journey, luckily the weather was hot. But my climate control automatically comes on low and whatever temp I had it at before, which on this occasion was cold, but when I tried to adjust the temperature it suddenly went to FULL front and rear and then none of the the buttons will respond so it is stuck, and this was stuck on cold for a good 10 miles and then all of a sudden the buttons responded and I was able to turn it off.
Then I used the car again on Saturday and it is now stuck on hot and FULL front and rear. The buttons have been stiff and are stick down for a bit before coming up, I think that maybe someone has spilled a drink in it in the past before I got it as the buttons have always been stiff on and off, and over winter once the car warmed up inside the buttons always used to free up.
I can't afford to replace the unit as am having to fork out over £2000 on something a lot more important in a weeks time. Anyone got any idea's? Also at the same time my CD changer has stopped responding. It has discs in it and was reading them fine. Then it just stopped reading discs.
Please help?

A stuck button will lock the system out, you need to strip it down and clean them all.
