Do the top part of the lights work at all?

Cant remember if the facelift lights vary?  I know someone said their car had been wired to do the opposite, Half
the light for tail lights and a full circle for the brake lights.

If thats not the case then its most likely to be the bulbs or dodgy contacts in the light units.

it is showing as ( _____ ) instead of O ___ O ,

the ( _____ ) is side lights and brake light but absolutely nothing from the other 2 bulbs on either side WHICH MAKES UP THE CIRCLE , have checked the bulbs and contacts and they are ok. there is only 1 wire for the side lights and 1 for brake lights so can only assume the problem is the the bulb holder section on BOTH SIDES. just dont want to spend the money on new holders until i know it is definately that

posted this thread hoping someone else who had this problem may have sorted it and could have given a clue what to try

Odd both sides have failed? Looks like the combimed brake.tail one too. We take it teh brakelights work OK so no poor eath to hose bulbs?

Have a look as purples say at the light unit metal circuit, maybe a bit of corrosion on there.

Can you take a good picture of the light unit on the bulb side?
