Hello,
I'm just after a few tiny insignificant bits and pieces that have disappeared from my 1993 MK1 Mondeo over the years. Probably not worth anyones while but may as well ask.

First, my interior plastic is the light grey colour (trim code HB).

Things missing:
  • 6 x door card screw caps
  • 1 x door card screw
  • ash-tray/lighter black screw cap
  • centre console screw and cap (passenger side near gear lever)
  • metal u-clip from bottom screw of trim above drivers feet
  • screw, screw cap and also the plug that the screw screws into for the scuttle (I think that's what it's called; the plastic part you take off to fit the pollen filter)
One slightly more significant bit is the passenger air vent nearest the door. Again, in the light grey colour. It would need to be fully working with no broken veins or clips though. I broke the two bottom clips removing it to see if I could fix the broken vein.

it is possible to fit a mk2 vent in this hole, they are more robust, if you wanted to go the whole hog, you can fit mk2 clock surround and radio panel etc, you will need to relocate a couple of switches extending the wires and maybe change a connector or two, but you can have the better centre and drivers vent then, :L

Thanks Pete, I didn't know that. In that case I'll add either MK1 or MK2 vent to my list, as long as it is unbroken and the right colour.

I wouldn't change the other bits though. Besides, 'Simon' from this forum is sending me a new MK1 surround as one of my vents on that are broken as well. I don't know why I've suddenly got this urge to put these things right after putting up with them for all these years.

Have you done the "one-touch" sunroof mod? I read it on here somewhere, someone drew a wiring diagram for it. It uses two driver side one-touch window relays.

      EDIT: here.

Nah, thought about it, but cba with it to be honest. I usually drive with it up anyway if i even use it so it's only a couple of seconds each way so not worth it really, passenger window, one touch down? i don't sit in the passenger seat.

its times like this when i look back and wish i knew of TF when i had 2 mondys before... How much modding i could have done...

i did fit elec mirrors to my last mk2, (2nd one) had to swap front door looms too, as mine wasn't wired for it, only problem was they were silver, my car was cuirass...  looked ok though. This prompted a mate to ask if escy's had heated elec mirrors, the following week, he had elec mirrors only he painted his the same colour as his car. have also fitted instrument panel dimmer to both, now am just curious to see if i can get the rear wash wipe to be intermittent like the estate mk1 i had was.
