Hi all
Image
after being a serial guest stalker on this site for many months iv decided its about time to show my mondeo
Image
. I picked her up back last August after my honda civic gave up the ghost, I knew I was getting a really good looked after mondeo as it was my dads car. Don't think iv done to bad considering I was 19 when I brought her off my dad
Image
. After a few months she started to have the engine light pop up which made me thought it was going down the same route as the Honda, but luckily it was just a faulty sensor, other than that and a snapped spring she has been excellent she sailed through 4 mots in a row so hopefully next january she will past again. As she stands she has been modified and it's still a work in progress so here's the list of the mods
• 40mm lowering springs
• induction kit ( has been removed at the moment so it's only rip speed air filter cone atm )
• front and rear bumper strips resprayed colour coded

That's all iv done so far iv also resprayed my 16inch zetec alloys in ford graphite grey and sprayed my brake callipers red and also resprayed my rocker cover harverd pearl blue in memory of my civic and plus it was a epic colour which sets the tone In my opinion
Image
. So here's some pics of my pride and joy

When I first got my mondeo

still standard but with resprayed alloys
Image

I'll add more pictures asap as for some reason it's still telling me my photos are still to big even though iv downsize them lol thanks for looking will keep you all updated

this is how low 40mm is next to another mondeo
Image

so that's everything up to date, next thing iv got to do is to refurbish my wheels as I caught a kerb.
Image
so that will be done next weekend finger's cross as long as the rain holds off then its a good clean and polish before japfest

i brought them from Racing dynamics which are based in Andover (Hampshire) they have a site on eBay which is where I found them

heres a link to there main site on their mondeo springs for you
Image

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Racedynamics2u/_i.html?_nkw=mondeo+lowering+springs&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4634

and yeah I have them on my OEM shocks they match really well the ride is a lot firmer but still keeps its comfort on normal driving. the handling has improved ten fold, leaves most my mates gti's in the dust round the bends

just came back from a little drive from the shops and i have noticed that my 2nd gear seems wierd
Image
as soon as i change it to 2nd gear the gearstick seems to be/feel quite loose when engaged in 2nd but is fine in all the other gears. and this is the strange part when the car is warmed up/ driven for awhile it seems fine
Image
. Fingers cross its not needing a new gearbox and hopefully a service could help as its due for one. i do really wish this constant rain would stop so I could go and tinker with the car lol

#12 ·
Your right about standard setup, even my eg6 would have struggled to keep with the mondeo lol, I think the estates are the same for springs best thing to do is to phone them up mate
Image
, you won't regret getting it lower on the floor
Image
then the handling bug will kick in then it will be power ! Lol

#13 ·
Well the call from the garage says the gearbox was low on oil so she's all topped up nicely and her service is all done
Image
should have done most of it myself but fitting it around work is a problem lol anyway the update I have is she's about to have a bath and start on refurb my alloy
Image

Update so far is I manage to refurb my alloys, and sort out some parking dings as well. As the weather held up on the weekend manage to get it done in one whole day result !
Image
only problem was trying to colour match the passenger door. Witch was a right pain compared to the rest of the car bodywork. Also went to the scrapyards in my area to have a look for goodies, unfortunately there was only a lx which i didn't need anything off apart from the roof rack cover, bit of a wasted journey but hey its just the way things are. Here's some pics from Saturday
Image
. Also on Sunday i resprayed my wing mirror and sticker bombed my fuse cover
Image
(had loads of them from fast ford and fast car so i had a laugh with it
Image
)

alloy filler just been applied on

and the parking dents

Okay I'm just putting this here As I can't find these selling rules through my iPhone so I have 3 mrk3 mondeo springs for sale just over a year old and I don't have a use for them selling for ÂŁ50ono
(will put a pic up of them later today)

I'm gonna have a facelift front bumper as wellwith the lower plastic colour coded to and the grill painted white as well as the upper grill mesh and headlights and fog lights 'white eyed'
