If anyone is at home this morning (I am, it's my day off!) there is a programme on Men & Motors which may be of interest:

"Cor! A Cortina!" Enthusiasts reveal the lasting apeal of the Ford Cortina.

It starts at 11am. :L

Made me laugh at the end, when the presenter said "I wonder if, in 20 years time, Sierra and Mondeo owners will meet up in a field to look at each other's cars?" :whistling: :D (or something like that!)

I really liked one version of the Cortina (not the very square last version, the one before that). It was cool looking and distinctive, as was the Sierra when it was introduced. That is the one thing the Mondy has always lacked.

i just watched it on M&M, it was quite interesting, there was alot of technical specs on the Mk1 and 2's and the Lotus Cortina, but they started to just forget the later ones, I used to have a Mk5 1.6 Carousel (in Roman Bronze and Tuscan Beige, he he) and I loved it, wish I hadn't have sold it for 50 quid 10 years ago to a banger racing bloke, as the car only needed minor work and my grandad had had it since new 8o(
