Mate needs some oil, what does he need?
BMW 523i Touring - 2.5, straight 6

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you send the wall across the field once you've hit it.
Past Mondeos - 2001 MK3 TDDi Ghia Estate, 2000 MK2 2.0 Zetec, 2000 MK2 1.8 TD, 1997 ST24, 1995 MK1 2.0 GLX

my girlfriend has the same motor - I use semi-synthetic 10/40w for hers

**** Gone but in some ways not forgotten **** MK3 1.8 Zetec in Panther Black (52 reg)

Now the proud owner of a 2000 X-reg Cougar V6, standard - for now at least, but will not be staying that way

Ford actually recommend 5W30 for all variants of the Puma. Not 10W40.

just for future reference. :ph34r:
ST TDCi in Performance Blue so it's not mistaken for anything else. :}

my son has a 1.4 puma and that runs on 5w/30 which is what ford recommend and im sure that is the same for the 1.7 as well, we are doing an oil change in the next week or so and going for castrol magnetec fully synthetic
