depends on what u wanna spend, u can get a air filter or enclosed one for that matter, or a couple of cold air feeds running to it, get a free flowing exhaust system which will last u the life time of your car, a decat made up, some msds headers from america and a custom chip to finish all the mods off to give u the best gains for all your mods,

u can go the nos route or the turbo route but then u are runing into high spending there, so best leave these as a last resort but with the other mods above will give u a great increase in hp but again its up to how much money u want to spend on these ;)

Decat and MSDS headers is best value then seeing as I have MSDS headers coming off a 2.5.
Who would do a good port and polish in wales or close by?

www.cncheads.co.uk are good for head work. but its £750 (exchange i think) for a zetec head, or £1000 for the zetec head with big valve conversion. so i dread to think what 2 x 3-pot heads would cost.

would be cheaper to get a turbo kit and get a much bigger power gain for less money!

also you can get bigger throttle body, bigger MAF, they do like big cone filters (i saw one get 245bhp with a Group A cossy filter on the rollers at PTS) and the most effective thing would be a remap.

You can reprofile cams, by newman cams. £400. dnt 4get there chain though. headwork is £750, from head developments, Thats a bit of port and polish, and a skim.

Mine has performance manifold with no cats, full custom zorst, chip, group A filter. 253bhp. But thats accurate figure not bullcrap, 300bhp with the Nos.

Car is loads quicker on the road.

i think when Robbins said 50bhp from headers and decat it was either a typo or he meant including the headwork!

253bhp with all that engine work, i take it thats at the wheels then.
