2004 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Ghia X Estate

hi peps, im new to this but can any1 help me iv just got a 2002 mondeo estate and dont know much about this car, is my boot ment to lift up when i press button on dash or key fob ? can any1 please help thanks
