The engine recently started making a knocking sound, so i took it to my mechanic. I was advised that it was the valves that was the problem, so it had a new top end. And surprise surprise still knocking. My mechanic is saying now its likely to be a problem with a piston. So to solve the issue it will need a new bottom end which i have been quoted £780 plus labour. Or a new 2nd hand engine can be fitted at around £1500.

I have receipts for the work that has already been done.

These cars with this spec sell for around £8500 to £9000, so someone could make a massive profit after repairing it. As ive decided to cut my losses and buy a new car.

Up until the issue with the engine, the car has not had one problem with it, and has been perfect for my family.

The MOT is due early in May, and the Tax runs out at the end of the month.

I would advise not to drive the car away as it was a struggle to drive back from the garage. So will need towing or transporting.

Please call Lee on 07787511474
