Well, since I benefited greatly from this site and the submitted reviews, I thought to pay my dues and write one too. The car is at 60k m/100k km and so far I had no issues with it. The car is probably best one among ones I owned previously (Mondeo MK1 Ghia, Citroen C5 V6 exclusive). Also, I rode numerous rentals, small and big ones so that's the bases of my review.
Up to this mileage I had no serious issues with the car. I keep all service invoices so looking through it I can list following: 5 times regular oil changes + all filters, par of back disc pads, set of the left front main light (under warranty due to inner fogging), a small spring somewhere in the engine bay (recall, free of charge), 2 different small bulbs. Thats it. I think I keep quite good care of my cars, and this one is by far the cheapest and most reliable to maintain so far. My second choice would be the same car again.
In a nutshell, I love very much this car: It is reliable, provides good mileage, its smooth but also swift, extremely good handling and superb driving experience. Inside is well built, decent quality and great driving feel, spacious and having those extras give me an premium feel. No, Mondeo is not a premium car (although being inside one may have this feeling), but it is also at half price of premiums. What you get for it is much more than half of the decent car. For anyone doubting to buy it, look nowhere else and make you decision for it.
I hope I answered your concerns, in case you have a specific question send me a PM and I will try to answer it.
Mario
