my car has a similar problem, ok driving in town but on motorway no power or acceleration, changed coil pack with no change.

Hi, sorry haven't been on for a while.
The prob was the unit at the end of the fuel rail, which I think is the pressurisation unit. Two of the three bolts holding it together had sheared. A local guy reluctantly took it on as fixing it meant taking out some other components. Cost was about £200.

I had the same problem as you have.It was the fuel pump.Replaced it and everything went back to normal.
