hey guys i got 1 pack of dynamat extreme for free, and i aint buying another pack,

ive cut it down the middle as im going to use half for each of the front doors,

ive got 6.25inch Powerbase Extreme coaxials in the fronts which sound lovely,

A.shud i put this dynamat inbetween the speaker and the door ?

or should i put it,

B. on the inside skin of the door, as in directly opposite the speaker.

Ideally both but if youve only got enough to do round the speaker, buy a roll of flashband from B%Q and use that for behind the speaker. Its only a tenner for roll.

Good choice of speakers by the way :D

flashband? what thats? if that the roof lining stuff?

as for the speakers, cheers, i had em in my rear doors for over a year and a half and thought they were nice but nothing special until i wired em up to the fronts and wow lol SQ is really good,

flashband is the cheap alternative to lead flashing , the stuff that is used to stop water getting down between the join of brickwork and a roof :L

flashband as in lead or plastic type? ringing bnq and he asked me ,....

aluminium over bitumen , peel off the bitumen protection sheet and stick on :L

lol im guesing its 40 quid coz its 10mtrs long?

This is what I did with some of my Dynamat Extreme. I used the rest on the front doors & inside the boot (9 sheets in total :loopy: ) Also used a load of that lead flashing stuff in the rear doors & inside the rear panels in the boot. It makes a massive differance IMO :woot:





Thought I'd just add that second pic to post whore a bit :whistling:

so you have a cracking sound system but you need to compensate the extra weight with NOS :loopy: , only kidding :D :D :D

you should have spoke to me shorty i used roof flashing tape its a lot cheaper and does the job as well as dynomat its got a silverish backing like dynomat and other side is sticky like tar and once u push it on firm ull have a job getting it back off lol.

a roll 1500mm by 10 metre (like a roll of selotape comes) under £15

i bought some today lol, i just got 10m x 100mm,

i got this dynamat for free so i might as well put it to its best use,

HAS ANY ONE NOTICED?

that behinde the speaker in the mondeo in the front doors that there is a beam rahter than a flat panel makin it hard to cover, what have u all done?
