Have a 2009 2.2 titanium x with push button start engine has no crank checked r1 and fuses if I bridge the 2 pins on r1 starter spins but no start.

checked earths and cleaned on passenger leg near fuse box.

any one help or give me any pointers To check

With the ignition off, If you pull R1 then you should be able bridge pins 3 & 5 momentarily with a wire link to get the starter motor spinning. Also check F15 is ok as that provides the feed to R1. MAKE SURE ITS IN NEUTRAL Before doing this.

If that’s doesn't work then I’d Suspect the starter motor. Easy enough to get to on the 2.2 - but disconnect the battery as this is the only unfused circuit on the car and can cause spanner-melting current if you screw it up.

The other thing to note if changing the starter is to count the number of visible teeth. I seem to recall that the 2.2 uses a different number to the 2.0, 11 instead of 10 or something like that. Check the replacement is the same, otherwise it won’t fit & you will be somewhat bothered/angry.
