How It Drives:
Fuel Economy:
Reliability:
Practicality:
Overall Rating:
Bought this car as a replacement for my Audi A6 1.9TDI Sport (taxi use).
Mondeo Estate Titanium, 2011, 2L TDCI
Came with full Ford service history and a 100k on the clock.
I bought this car about 20 months ago with a 100k on the clock and I have done an additional 64k on it since without any real problems apart from general wear.
The car has all the space I need and I have never been stuck carrying 4 people and their luggage it just swallows it all up.
Problems I've had -
Rear light cluster went out and to my horror the price of these LED units were over a £115 to replace, no way of replacing the broken bit as its a sealed unit. I cut the unit open and replaced it with two lengths of LED strip cheaply bought from ebay worked ever since.
Recently rear self levelling shocker gone and found they are fortunes to replace (£740 for a pair after £100 discount) but after chatting to a member on here I'm going to try a mod so I can use standard ones in the future.
Front head light plug melted but cheaply replaced.
I cant find anything else wrong with this car, it gets alot of stick every weekend and just does what its supposed to do.
Would I buy another, I most certainly would, these make a fantastic taxi.
My advice for buying is the same for every make and model, buy one with a good service history and dont worry about a 100k mileage. I would rather have a 100k car with the service history than a 30k car without one.
