Got a car going for scrap would like to take engine out but no room to keep.

Is it worth keeping the cams for either my own car or to sell? are they easy to get out, what else is needed to put on a 1.8 engine.

could be worth keeping cams, ecu and throttle body - with that your 1.8 would have 2l power :)
is it hard to remove the cams & ecu? already got throttle body.
If the engine's going for scrap, remove the camshaft cover and cut the timing belt. Not a huge job... :)

will give it ago, took loads of the car so far.
take the cam and get them reground, thats what im doing on my spare set, cheap assed power increase :L
I need to get some more tools to remove the cams, the bloody bolts are tight.

What a game getting the ecu out, is there an easy way?

Do you really need to have a 2lt ecu are they not the same?
the ecu's are different, whats the code on it?

i used normal sockets when removing my cams :}

5.5mm or something like that.
wac, as i've explained til i'm blue on the face on this forum, if you change cam profiles you need mapping or the correct ecu swap but i'm not going to go into the technical reasons why YET AGAIN
Does not matter, cams still on car as not got the tool for the cog on the end.

Car going car heaven in the morning.
