Hello,
I have 2004 model with 6000CD with central volume knob. I need to look at the back of the radio, to see what connectors or cables do I have there. I also want to note any printed information from there. How do I take this unit partially out to do this? And I do not want to power it down, I do not like to reenter code. Generally I want to install some mp3 player on cd changer interface, is there some model ready for my radio?

You need special keys from frauds or an audio supplier, they go in the 4 tabs on each edge! Ive just found this out & got it removed partially at ford but now i have no idea how the hell to fit my new stereo etc as i have never seen a connector like it, its just one huge connector with 3 or 4 mini plugs in it then the aerial lead...

If anyone knows what you need, let me know pls!

Thanks

you need a stereo adapter aka iso stereo loom. £12.99 maybe less depends where you buy.
