I recently change the steering column on my daughters car because the bottom bearing had broken up. Whilst trying to refit the original steering wheel I managed to break a small plastic part of the clock spring. The steering column I bought off ebay had the steering wheel, airbag etc all intact so I simply exchanged one for the other, the new one had a slightly different plug to the one already beside the steering column so I swapped this off the original one, it was only two wire after all. I reassembled everything and the new leather wheel looks the part, the steering column problem has been solved but now the airbag light flashes a few times and then stays on. Can anyone help?

now, usually when people say airbag light, its usually the yellow connectors under the front seats need unplugging and plugging back in again, especially if the seat has been moved or there was a load of stuff under it.

if that doesn't cure it, its usually the clockspring. Did you "reset" it to central before fitting it? (so it turns an equal amount of times in each direction before it stops?)
