I'm looking round for a wood centre console, from a Mark 1, for my old man's Ghia X. Can anyone tell me if the Alchemy Blue interior was available in a Mark 1?

If not how hard is it to take the wood out of a centre console and replace the plastic bits in a Mark 2?

if you mean the bit that the handbrake goes through its quite easy you need to take the centre console out then grab the wings so to speak and flex them inwards and outwards and the glueseal will break then its just a case of yanking at it to get the rest off, done it many times myself.
